What are you hearing?

There’s a time to charge forward. And there’s a time to pause to listen.

“Listen to how people introduce you.”

It’s advice I often share as a success coach. There’s the story we have in our head about ourselves. Then there’s how others see us.

An introduction is someone headlining what they find most admirable about you to connect you to a third person.

It’s genuine intent. Which means it makes for great intel.

For the past five months, I’ve been in the U.S. engaged in my investing, coaching and upcoming trip curation—Rwanda, Cambodia, Santa Fe, Spain and Morocco.

So when I hear myself described as “always traveling,” it’s clear others’ perceptions differ from my recent U.S.-based reality.

The lesson? I’ve got work to do.

On the other hand, I’ve been hearing a version of this:

“I love seeing the world through Jodi’s lens.”

This intro makes my heart sing. It helps me see my unique gift. And know that it’s valued.

The lesson? Do more of it.

OK world, I hear you.

Venture Rwanda - Michele Li

I’m just back from Venture Rwanda—my fourth return within two years. But I also expanded my offered Venture Travel—more places, more partnerships.

I’m excited to share we’re returning to Cambodia in 2026.

Our last venture was no less than life-changing—because of who joined and the pandemic that rocked our world. I expect we’ll have a bit less drama this time.

Venture Cambodia (April 2026) starts in Phnom Penh and ends in Siem Reap. Hosted by young people, we dive into education & women’s leadership, entrepreneurship, and sustainability—plus art, culinary delights & epic views.

Venture Travel isn’t about seeing the sites. It’s about learning, connecting and seeing the future.

Venture Cambodia - Kate Heath

Whether you’ve been to Cambodia before or have long wanted to, this Venture will change how you look at the world. Just like it did for Kate (Seeing Things Differently).

Our group of 8 is purposely small (5 spots remain). Because we go behind the scenes.

We are partners, not tourists.

If you are a curious-minded seeker, I hope you join. Register Here.

We’re also returning to walk the Camino de Santiago with Walking Mentorship in 2026.

My magical 2023 Camino experience (Walking the Way) led me to two personal commitments:

The Camino de Santiago is one of the most famed pilgrimages. But the Camino isn’t one path, nor is there one way to walk it. That’s why I plan to return to it repeatedly.

This will be a one-week customized version of the Portuguese Coastal Way—starting in Vigo, Spain and ending at the famed Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

The Walking Mentorship program gives you a structure to make your walk a true journey of self-discovery. It’s like taking a snapshot your current moment in life, and having the time and space to clarify your ideal future, align your purpose and vision, and create an action plan—alongside similarly-minded people doing the same.

Then there’s the views. And the food and wine. My well-traveled friend who just returned describes it as some of the most beautiful hiking she’s ever done.

We have 8 places available. I know it’s going to be popular. Register Here.

If you—like me—are a high-achieving seeker, you’ve got goals & plans.

But sometimes the best thing we can do is be quiet and listen.

  • Listen to your heart—does what you are doing truly bring you joy?
  • Listen to your intuition—is there a better way to do what you are doing?
  • Listen to the next person who introduces you—do their words match the story you have for yourself in your head?

Pause to ask—what are you hearing?

My recent pauses haven’t changed my work. I remain an Investor, Success Coach & Travel Curator.

But when I listen to truly hear, I tweak the way I do it.

So now it’s your turn—what are you hearing?

Let’s Venture is all about conversations and practical ideas towards leading a connected life, defining success on your terms, and maximizing your impact.

There’s a time to charge forward. And there’s a time to pause to listen. My best life decisions were made in a time of pause, followed by connecting to others who helped me to think differently. That’s why I became a Success Coach. That’s why I curate Venture Travel.

Here’s to hoping we can listen together.
